Biography
Since 2015, Marie-France Gilbert has provided composition, sound design, and arranging services to film producers, event organizers, advertising agencies, video game companies, and other stakeholders in the international arts industry through her website, YouTube channel, and streaming platforms. Marie-France is the owner of the artist name MOSIK.
Marie-France began studying classical piano in 2009 and enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in Composition at Laval University in 2012 under the supervision of Professor Éric Morin. In 2015, she began a Master's degree in Composition with a thesis and graduated in 2018. Her thesis, entitled The Influence of Exotic Music in Three of My Recent Compositions, explores the influence of non-Western musical traditions on her work.
In 2019, she completed a second Master's-level graduate program, the DESS in Film Music, at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM).
